steveorino 7 #1 May 28, 2007 Anyone know them? Jennifer Galbraith contacted me to draw a cartoon for an event they were having. I sent them a sketch and they gave me revisions to make. I redrew the cartoon with revisions, and she said they loved it and my check was on the way. That was April 30th. I've sent a few emails her way asking what is going on, but they keep coming back as undeliverable. Any suggestions? steveOrino

narcimund 0 #7 May 28, 2007 QuoteCatch up and have high speed. Yes. Everybody line up to pay more for yet higher speed. Why? So lame, ignorant web hacks can be too lazy to take 10 seconds to scale their images. By the way, 1.6MB on a highspeed dialup modem (which is still about 50% of everyone) is 4 minutes. On typical DSL/cable it's 15 seconds. If it were downsized to 50KB, on DSL it would be essentially instantaneous. 15 seconds vs. instantaneous? Hard choice. Well, hard for web hacks that is. CSpenceFLY 1 #8 May 28, 2007 Try this peregrinerose. I'm sure that less than 30 days they are not trying to stiff you. They are good folks
steveorino 7 #9 May 28, 2007 I didn't mean to imply that they did but I did draw the sketch they wanted and reworked it with revisions to boot. Typically I expect 1/2 down before I draw a sketch but I let that slide with skydivers. (I've been stiffed by skydivers too, though. ) However, I don't send the high resolution drawing until payment arrives and clears. I thought they were on a time constrait, thus my concern. Plus my email to her is always returned. steveOrino

Is that the group that's kind of like muff brothers and pink mafia sisters and rodriguez brothers and skydogs and all the other non-skill based skydiving fraternities, except they charge membership fee? peregrinerose 0 #12 May 29, 2007 Hi Steve... I'm confused.... I sent you a check at the end of April. You emailed me on May 7 saying that you had received a check and you included a higher resolution copy of the sketch with that email. The check was cashed on May 9, according to my bank. I still have the email from you if you'd like me to forward it. My email address has not changed, it is still peregrinerose@comcast.net Edited to add... Steve, I just forwarded an email with most of our correspondance to you (email), including your statement that you had received the check. My bank has an image of the scanned cancelled check online, I can send that to you as well if you need me to. steveorino 7 #14 May 30, 2007 Well, it is my TOTAL BAD. I guess I forgot to log the payment in my books. I sent 2 emails inquiring about the deal that got returned. So I made a very bad assumption. So, since I made the bad mistake I will make it right as best I can. 1) I apologize right here. 2) Your next image is on me. Again I'm sorry for the confusion. I'd try and make an excuse but I guess I have none other than my bad bookkeeping and crappy memory. I'm very sorry. I hope you will forgive me. steveOrino

peregrinerose 0 #20 May 30, 2007 Is that the most recent batch? I ended up being good and letting Kyle have mine, so hopefully he'll chime in. icemaker 0 #21 May 30, 2007 No worries................ Thanks for letting me pay my beer fine in jello shots. I am going put a collection jar out so that I can buy enough liquor so I can make lots and lots of shots. Yes that was the latest and greatest for batches. So Far we have three keepers 1. Strawberry, Kiwi with Parrot Bay 2. Sun Kissed: with red bull, orange jello and two different kinds of vodka 3. Strawberry - Banana with Hypnotic.
