peanut4040 0 #1 May 31, 2007 We need to stop pointing fingers and making over-protective rules, and simply do what we need to do in order to be safe and still have fun. Let's work together and unite as a whole to make the dropzone a welcoming place for everyone. Brian Germain I read all you wrote Brian. I thought about it, drank a dozen beers, thought some more. Chuckles, I"m all about working together long as "you people" land your high performance expert canopies WAYYYYYY OUT THEREEEEEEEE. Can anyone say, turning a 270 for a good swoop in front of the hanger is a safe landing for the "one" person doing it? Okay, mix in 10 people doing straight in approaches. How much dangerous did it just get? NOW? How many people have the expertise to do those 270 hooks? Are they not a minority? Do we take care of the minority, at the expense of the majority, because we all like to watch their swoops, and in effect trade off our safety? IF you land wayyyy out there......., i'll still praise your "expert" abilities around the bonfire. Hopefully for a very long time. What gets me the most about skydiving? It seems the experts are the ones getting killed. This is scary to me, and you are younger than me Brain. You are more experienced, and wiser,,,,, but younger. Its a good day to LIVE, why puck up a good thing. There is no reply in aad section for. " hell no i would not put an AAD on my back"
SkyDivinRyan 0 #2 May 31, 2007 hmmm I read a ton of posts on both views and heres a point swoopers have less canopy to carry in so the dude flying tarps should be able to land close so the dont die of dehydration from the long ass walk ( 50 feet in ) haha just to let you know i fly a 170 sooo its not a bias opinion haha
