BillyVance 35 #6 May 30, 2007 I can't believe you left off Richard Pryor! Although he's gone, he was bar none, the funniest I've ever seen. Eddie Murphy's almost up there though."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
livendive 8 #7 May 30, 2007 Richard Pryor. It's not even really a contest. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

rehmwa 2 #12 May 30, 2007 Bill Cosby, Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, Billy Crystal are funny One of the most uneven matchups ever was Comedy Relief - Whoopi, who has no talent at all trying futilely to even be worthy of smelling the shoes of Williams and Crystal, especially when they are feeding off of each other - it's sad really. Those guys aren't funny in standup though Murphy has his moments. Samuel Jackson isn't even a good actor, let alone funny. It's rough when the only role you can play is 'angry, unreasonable asshole'. But, like Tommy Lee Jones and Jack Nickolson and John Wayne, he proves you can still make a lot money with no real acting talent as long as you have a good typecast. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
BillyVance 35 #13 May 30, 2007 Quote 18But eveyrone thinks im 92 (apparenly im a grumpy old fart!!!) LOL. Ask Andy No wonder. Pryor was in his prime well before you were born, if you are 18. Try seeing some of his stand up acts... or movies... You'll be on the floor crying from laughing so hard."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Mike111 0 #14 May 30, 2007 least im not the only grumpy today!!!!Hes not thta bad Samuel L Jackson although your dead on since he always seems to be shooting someone!!! Maybe his poor acting as you say is a source of comedy in itself!
Mike111 0 #15 May 30, 2007 Sweet, do you know where i could find any? Worth a look i guess. And if they aint funny, give andy a good spanking!!!! (soz mate)
quade 4 #16 May 30, 2007 QuoteRichard Pryor. It's not even really a contest. Richard Pryor (Whoops! Almost spelled in Pyro) was an important comedian for what he did to open doors for folks that followed. I think everybody respects him for that, but Chris Rock's material is, in my opinion, far superior. Not just because he's funny, but the messages behind the humor. Also, Rock is probably one of the best "rhythm" comics that ever lived. If he gets going and kicks into rhythm mode, it doesn't even matter wtf he says; you'll still laugh.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

If you're going back to that age for comedy. You can't forget Red Foxx. He opened the doors first, Pryor came along and kicked the fuckers in.
