shropshire 0 #1 June 2, 2007 Hi all. I spent a loverly summer afternoon at this excellent event. It's a music and craft fayre in the heart of Cambridge. It's exceedingly well run. has great spirit (well during the day at least - can bet a bit roudy of an evening!!). Great music and wonderfull varieties of food. I love it... There are a number of music stages, playing different genres and loads of peeps enjoying themselves.... Anyway, here's a few picture that I took.... clicky (.)Y(.) Guest #9 June 3, 2007 Looks like a lot of the so-called "festivals" in the Seattle area, which in my experience are typically populated by dreadlock-coiffed young white males wearing tie-dyes or some other such "counter-culture" silliness and banging on bongo drums. They're obviously in good company across the pond. Nice weather, though. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." shropshire 0 #10 June 3, 2007 Mark, you pretty much hit the nail on the head... It's been going on for a lt of years now and has a really good vibe. The weather was particularly good to us yesterday. My wife just came back from the local hospital (she's a nurse) and said that the night staff in the A&E (ER) were super bussy last night. (.)Y(.) kallend 2,151 #11 June 3, 2007 Is that on Midsummer Common? There's been a June fair (fayre) there since the middle ages (since 1211 to be exact, under a Royal Charter from King John).....
