Even cheaper to just torture the fuckwit that did it until you get back your stuff, and find out where everyone elses belongings are.

UPDATE.
I was checking online for a copy of my police report and found it.
There is a search function by st address... so I was curious about what else was going on in my neighborhood...
More info: Last night there were some cops driving towards my end of town at a fast rate of speed....
Forward to this morning. The house down the stree was shot at by unknown suspect... and unknown firearm... The house is a police officers house.
I wonder the chance that it was my weapon? The same guy?

Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Since the theft involved a firearm, the case could be handled Federally. Also, 'if' your gun was used to shoot-up a cops house, you have nothing to worry about. The rifle was reported stolen. Try to keep an eye on the guy you suspect and tell the police anything you feel might be helpful. I can understand your anger... you've been violated and it hurts. Keep your cool and your eyes open.

Yup! Over aperiod of time, every time I saw a vehicle in front of his house, I took the tag number. When it was all over, several of them had 'their day in court'!

Lessor Force= Dead
MORE Force= Really DEAD
Those are cheap and plentiful, and it should only cost you $100-$150 bucks to replace it.
