I love how they use cartoon characters for their propaganda.

What BS. It's not just the coporate jets they are trying to make pay and they know it!!!!

If it was, well maybe it would be ok for a little fee for corporate jets, but not turbine dz planes, or private planes of that nature.

Target advertising. Getting the people that are delayed and already pissed and telling lies about why. There's a counter ad from the General Aviation community that puts the real numbers out there, but you'll never see it shown at the airport. We have a few controllers here, ask them who is responsible for their workload.

Hopefully most Americans will be too lazy to actually write in to show their support.

Here's part of what I wrote to my reps
"I wanted to make known my opposition of user fees for general aviation. Enough of my tax dollar has been used to bail out poorly managed airlines. As a frequent traveler, and frequently delayed traveler, I have never had a schedule issue that was not related to either the weather or an airline error.
The financing plan for the FAA good as is and no amount of slick lobbying or cute cartoon commercials will change this. It's time for someone to tell Ms. Blakey that she must learn how to manage a budget and not think of me as her bottomless piggy bank. It's time to tell the airlines to operate as a business and not think of themselves as a public charity case.
Please resist the pressure to institute user fees for general aviation. It will not upgrade equipment, it will not increase safety, but the major airlines hope that it will increase the cost of GA and help them recover customers that they have lost through mismanagement, poor scheduling, and non-existent customer service.
Oh, and please pass on to Ms. Blakey the next time that she makes one of those 'cost of a latte' comments that I am general aviation, I've never had a latte but sometimes I get a cup of coffee at Waffle House. I work for a living and that's something she should try before she takes food off of my table."
