Purple martins

While mowing lawns today, I was swooped constantly by these cool flyers. Seems my mowing must stir up the bugs that they eat. They followed me everywhere. On to the next lawn a mile away and here comes more purple martins. Only about 5 at a time would fly, but for 1/2 hour at a time or until i was done mowing. I helped them, they entertained me and kept the bugs from getting to me.

The cardinals were loving me today mowing, as well. Like you said, stirring up bugs. The dragon flies were pretty cool when I was done...getting the mosquitos...wooohoo!

The wildlife is great, isn't it?
