Prescription Goggles

Recommended Posts

Hey there.

New to the sport and I'm looking for recommendations on goggles that can accommodate prescription lenses.

I'm currently considering The Phoenix because of the ability to change lenses, but I also find Sport RX's G102 goggles appealing.

Can anyone help a cherry out?

Thanks!

I have the Adidas Climacool from SportRX. Works good in the air and on the ground on the Harley. THey come with a headstrap if needed, and only needed for use in a wind tunnel I have found. They work good skydiving with a helmet on, never tried without.

I have the clear lenses so that I could make use of them on night jumps. The frame doesn't seem to hold up all that well to the stresses of skydiving. I have broken one frame and just about finished with my second frame. But since the frames are cheap I will just buy another set of frames and keep the lenses.

If you have a high + perscription make sure you get some that the lenses fairly flat/straight accross from side to side, not wrap around. I got some (can't remember the brand) from e-bay, had lenses made for the inserts, and found out I could not see for S**t straight ahead. The low profile wrap around style caused the lenses to be at to much angle in front of my eyes. I have a very strong prescription so this is probably not a problem for most.(+6 both eyes) I'm at eloy most mondays if anyone in AZ wanted to look at them. I think they were birdz rx but not sure.
