Jonsmann 0 #1 August 20, 2006 Lately I have had consistent hard openings on my Diablo 120. It snivels nicely but as the slider move down the lines it seem to get stuck at the cascades for 1-1.5 seconds (video). When the slider move the rest of the way down it is almost instant, and thus giving quite a hard opening. It was relined 25 jumps ago, so the lines are in nice shape. Before the reline is was massively out of trim, so a comparison before and after the reline doesn't make much sense. When I inspect the lines, the knot at the steering line cascades seem a little bigger than normal. Do you think these knots can cause this? quinny 0 #2 August 20, 2006 sounds good that its hanging up for a second or 2 otherwise it would be a total slammer!!
AggieDave 6 #3 August 21, 2006 So its hanging at the control line cascade and not on the A-lines? When's the last time you untwisted your brake lines?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
riggerrob 643 #4 August 21, 2006 Yes, the knots in the steering lines might be causing your slider to pause. Try asking a second rigger (other than the guy who replaced your lines) to inspect your lines and ask him/her if it is possible to re-do the steering line cascades without knots. Try to preserve the factory trim (A to trailing edge) when you modify the steering lines.

dragon2 2 #6 August 21, 2006 We had that with a new student canopy .The cat's eyes just needed to set, because they were very round they were too wide for the slider to pass easily. After while they will strech out a bit and the problem will probably go away. ciel bleu, Saskia
jimmytavino 16 #7 August 21, 2006 what is the condition of the grommetts on your slider... are there any nicks or deformities,, which might be grabbing the lines,,,,, rather than "sliding" past????
