Skydiving Money...

Recommended Posts

I had two Beardies, but Jill died 6 months ago. Jack however is still going.... mean little shit that he is. Jill was sweet, she liked attention. Jack would prefer to eat you, only he knows he's to small, so he uses everything he has to tell you to get out of his terainium, right down to chasing your hand and snapping at you.

How long do beardies live anyway? He's already a little over 5 yrs old.

They live upwards to 10 to 12 years if you give them the right care, but can live as little as 4 years. Might want to up the amount of crickets you give jack, might be why he snaps at you. At his age he should be on 5 to 10 crickets a day plus the veggies. Ours are only at 3 baby crickets a day.

He eats 20-25 crickets per day, 8-10 mealworms, plus romain lettuce. He's a BIG Dragon. (Dad was a freaking monster) He doesn't like anything else. He's just mean. He and Jill got together once and produced a clutch of eggs. After he had her ONCE, he was never the same - very aggressive. She had issues with the clutch and was also never the same.... passed away at the ripe old age of 4.5 yrs.

Hmmm thats interesting, I dont know much about the breeding yet, Im sure Ill find out, dont know if we will let them breed though. I dont even know the sex yet cause they are to small to probe. Im gonna laugh if Froggie and Fishie end up being girls...

Do you breed the crickets and worms or just buy them? Im thinking of breeding them since we have 5 to feed but not sure the process of doing such

Yes, we buy them. The guy that gave us Jack & Jill is a Beardie breeder and he breeds his crickets, but not the worms. We had originally thought that Jill was Jack & visa versa..... then she laid a cluth and we knew we had it all wrong :$.

It can be a pain to breed crickets because they tend eat each other B|... glad I'm not a cricket.

Just wait till they get big enough to eat small mice...talk about GROSS!!!

You stopped skydiving?

Yuppers, cant take my kids skydiving, I take them rock climbing which is much more invigorating... plus it keeps me thin. Will jump again one day.

Sold all my gear and everything

Thats why I gave most my gear away, figure if I sold it Id feel bad but giving it to those who needed it wont ever feel bad. Although I sold the rig, I dont think I could have given that away, Im just surprised I didnt pay him to take it :D

Once I came to my senses I had to buy all new gear
again.

Well I dont have to worry about that till my baby is an adult so I have at least 11 years

Yuppers, cant take my kids skydiving,

All the more reason to keep doing it :)
Parents need friends and activities that have nothing to do with their children.
Its not only OK, its normal, healthy, and GOOD :)
Of course I seem to have come rather late to this issue in your life as its
already a done deal :)

Oh I have time away from my kids, but nothing takes me away as much as skydiving did. One day Ill start again but it will be awhile.

Its really nice to have hobbies that include all of us, esp when one of my kids is a really kick ass climber. It means much more to me personally then any boogie or skydive. Then again I jumped for the fun of it, not the lifestyle of it. What do they call that? Tourist? Yea that is me a skydive tourist :D

My next pet is gonna cost a few grand (salt water fish)... not many skydivers are willing to spend that much money on anything but skydiving and I was that way as well before. :D
