Andy_Copland 0 #28 June 4, 2007 I go by the pinch and bone rule, if it hurts where you pinch gently its gonna hurt with a noodle in, bone just vibrates like all hell and makes me feel ill. I really want to get my ribs done but i know its going to hurt like all hell, my backs pretty much covered and where it started to touch the ribs i was breaking out in a cold sweat.1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. tigra 0 #30 June 4, 2007 I've got one on my middle/ lower back that really should be touched up. I've had it for over 10 years and it still looks good, just faded. But dayum! It hurt like hell the first time! Plus, when I asked about it a year or so ago, I found out it will probably cost even more to touch it up than the original tattoo cost! Double the pain! brierebecca 0 #34 June 4, 2007 QuoteSome body parts in general hurt more than others. This is true. And I would also agree that older tattoos don't hurt badly to touch up or cover. I had an older one covered recently and it wasn't bad. But for some reason the newer one (I had just gotten it a few weeks before the touch-up) hurt like nothing I can describe. sharimcm 0 #37 June 4, 2007 Quote brings up a good point. I've got one halfway complete, mostly solid colors. Some say it's gonna hurt like hell when the artist starts going over old ink. True? Well, in my case, it was more painful when the artist was touching it up (tramp stamp). I don't remember it being THAT painful when I got it done originally. On a side note, my friend Tanya, has numerous tattoos. She has had most, if not all, of her 27 tattoos touched up at some point in time. She said it was more painful the second time around for most of them. I guess it's all about your pain threshold. Broke 0 #40 June 5, 2007 Quote My daughter got a tat in January and a new one last month (much to my chagrin). When she got the new one, she got the old one touched up. I asked if she was getting any more and she said no because it hurt too much to touch up the old one and it brought her to tears. YES! Where was the old one. My last tatt I got done in one sitting. It was 4.5 hours, and at the end it was hell. Will I get another one? Yeah I just have to wait for the inspiration and the money... lol. At the end of my tatt I was ready to punch the artist, but he really did a great job. I went from having nothing to having a beauriful the color pheonix on my calf.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Whats the connection with the Toon character Nick? you have 2 muppets, (puppets) one Schultz, one Warner Bros, and a Breakfast Cereal cartoon characters? What's their connections for you? The cereal character (Tony the Tiger) has a halo and represents my friend Tony that died in a car accident back when I was in high school. The muppet on the left (Kermit the Frog) represents my grandfather on my mother's side. His real name is Kermit. The Peanuts character on the right (Charlie Brown) represents my grandfather on my mother's side. His real name is Charles. (AKA Charlie or Chuck) The Looney Tunes character on the bottom (Speedy Gonzalez) represents my dad. (Matching last names minus the second Z) The muppet in the middle (Gonzo) represents myself. I was given the nickname Gonzo back in high school and it's stuck ever since. Nowadays, I tend to introduce myself as such. The other characters encircle my character because those people surround me in my life. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
