Cornholio 0 #1 June 11, 2007 So after the lackluster performance of the Sopranos, who else watched this show? I did, and I'm very interested in how it will play out. Who is John? Alien? He seems to be able to produce things magically from his pockets when others request it. What gives? Anyone have any insight? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Thanatos340 1 #2 June 11, 2007 Definitely an Interesting Cast. You could also feel the connections to Deadwood when watching it (Same creator). But overall, The Pilot didn’t do alot to grab attention.
LouDiamond 1 #3 June 11, 2007 I saw it. I am thinking a few possibly scenarios: 1. That they are the decendants of an alien that mated with a human and John is an Alien coming to get them to take them home. 2. John is just an alien slumming and getting the human experience with those he encounters. 3. John is an angel sent to help mend the family and will eventually move on to other families or people to help them. Whatever it turns out to be, it looks like it might have some potential. I am also curious to see how good the David Ducoveny(sp?) series thats being pumped up is going to be."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

Thanatos340 1 #8 June 26, 2007 Anyone else been watching this show? After 3 episodes, I am still undecided. I like the Characters, Love the Dialogue but it needs to get moving with the plot soon.

LouDiamond 1 #10 June 26, 2007 Saw the third one, missed the 2nd one. After seeing the 3rd one, I am leaning towards a more religious subtext. The whole "see God" sequence and the sensations each person had. The burning of the girls piercings, the burning of the implants in the fathers head and the pain in the Vets leg( I am guessing schrapnel) all point to things that are not natural to mankind hence the pain felt. The mircle of the son healing and the gathering of the people makes me think he is the Messiah figure and the family members all must be equvilent to other similar persons mentioned in the bible. Of course I may be completely wrong in my analysis and seeing how its TV, probably am. Whatever the case may be, it is still intriguing at this point....kind of like LOST was initially."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
bigway 4 #11 June 26, 2007 This is one fucked up show. I think it is going to go in a direction that we do not see coming. It is plain weird and moving very slow. As you say the dialogue is great as are the characters, I think Al Bundy has finanaly been given an excellenty role that is not some stupid kids comedy show and that it suits him. The show is strange and from the spoilers i have been told it should really start moving next week. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
aprilcat 0 #12 June 26, 2007 Too bad you missed the 2nd show (but there is a recap coming up). The earthquake that caused Sean's injury was a result of Fredy punching John in the face. (never slug an Angel). It is 'Deadwood' in so many ways. Last night when the Doctor shows up at the house, I thought it was parallel to Deadwood's Doc caring for Sophia. Both Doctors have that glazed look on their faces and they are led by the belief something 'strange' happened to the children, yet instead of relying on their science, they look like buses hit them. I'd rather watch Deadwood any day (Season 1 being rerun on Saturday nights!! YAY!) I guess HBO is trying to soften the blow. I'm not sure about JFC in the long haul, but I hope no one punches him again! Imagine what a kick in the cajones would bring! ~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo!
