That's the key right there. Having someone to travel with. It would just be sad to experience new and wonderful things and have no one to share it with. That's why I've never been to Disneyland. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

kelel01 1 #30 June 26, 2007 Just because you travel alone doesn't mean you experience everything alone. You make friends along the way and share experiences with them. Traveling is amazing, and the small taste I had in the beginning of the year was just like an appetizer. I'm dying to get back out there and see what else this world has to offer. Now, I am definitely more into traveling to places that are NOTHING like home. Not to say that I wouldn't want to go to Europe again (or to the parts I didn't see before), but places like Asia and Africa seem much more fascinating to me. People there walk to an entirely different beat, have different values, etc., and it's WONDERFUL to see that the world is not as it seems from inside of our little box here. And if nothing else, there's always pretty castles and stuff. And let me just say, pictures NEVER do those kinds of sights justice. The library ain't gonna cut it. Quote That's pretty dependent on one's personality. I have trouble visiting new dropzones alone and making new friends. How much harder would it be on a trip to a foreign country? I really admire people who are able to enjoy adventures like yours earlier this year. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
 kelel01 1 #33 June 26, 2007 I'll grant you that. But I think it's worth mentioning that I took about a year and a half to make friends at my home DZ, so I'm not exactly what you might call a social butterfly. BUT, you could just take someone with you! Now, if you truly have no desire to travel, then that's cool . . . but I don't think you realize what you're missing. My father traveled so many places on business and I was always fascinated. He would always tell me the same thing: I should see my own country first. So one three-month long summer we traveled in a motorcoach around the U.S. I was 13. I saw so many states & gorgeous cities & country.
