livendive 8 #26 June 26, 2007 QuoteZero. Hired a lawn guy. I can jump on weekends without worrying about the lawn now. Is that why I saw you mowing the lawn at the DZ last weekend? You missed it? I've only mowed 4ish times this season, and Erin's gotten it once. I decided to give the job to the first kid to come to my door this year, but then none came by. Oh well, we'll limp through this season with an occasionally unkempt lawn and try to hire someone next year. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Icon134 0 #27 June 26, 2007 5 or maybe 6 times... I have also weedeated my fence line (something I'm required to do) once and it needs it again... although until reciently we haven't had a whole lot of rain the weeds still manage to grow relatively efficiently... thus the yard still needs to be mowed... vskydiver 0 #28 June 26, 2007 I haven't mowed the lawn in years. I have a "lawn boy" that does it for me. He's really sexy too! I love to watch him out there on that riding lawn mower... He has had to mow our lawn about 3 times so far this year. He should have mowed it more than that but one time he let our 13yo daughter mow and she ran over something she shouldn't have so it busted the mower deck and our 15yo son had to weld it all back together and it took him awhile to get the parts. So there was that period of long lawn while the mower was being repaired.

Amazon 7 #30 June 26, 2007 Its been a really wet season here.... I got really tired of moing my yard with the self propelled so I went and bought a riding mower... make life a LOT easier.. Too much yard.. not enough time.

BillyVance 35 #33 June 26, 2007 Here's a picture of part of my front yard. Believe it or not, this has not been mowed for nearly 2 months, and is not even ankle high now. He has a life and skydiving on the weekends. It still takes him an hour and a half to mow on the rider.
SpecialKaye 0 #38 June 27, 2007 God NO!!! We have a big 40 horse John Deere, but by the time you get done mowing, weedeating and the pushmowing trim work, it's like 5-6 hours...every 5 days. Within 48 hours of getting the John Deere put away, the seedheads are popping back up AGAIN!!!
