Pinkeye SUCKS.

Got a raging case of viral pinkeye in my left eye.
Nodes on my L ear, damn eye almost swollen shut.
Even enough to double my intraocular pressure.

Feels like a burning rock where my eye should be.

On steroids and glaucoma drops....

YAY!

Only upside is that I can't work in the interim

dude your eye looks pretty bad. I don't know if mine ever was that bad, but it hurt like nothing I've ever felt.

I had pink eye on my cornea though. The only good thing I can tell you is once the medicine starts working, the pain goes away rather quickly. I'd make sure that anything like towels and things your eye might have touched like pillow cases get washed asap.

Yeah, I've been coating my hands in alcohol lately to prevent transfer to patients I was seeing, and today I got the official word that I am not to have any further patient contact until it resolves.

It doesn't really hurt anymore, but it aches like hell with my pressures going up.

Even worse is having to wear my glasses that are not ni prescription...

Ah. Poor dear, I've gotten it from correcting my students papers every year but this one! It's sucky and itchy. Cold compresses and take some tylenol, it can calm the nerves and compulsion to scratch and rip the entire eyeball out.
