kbordson 8 #1 July 4, 2007 Fourth of July. Take a moment to think about what you like best about America. Quote"The American's Creed. I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation and many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it ,to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its Flag, and to defend it against all enemies." - William Tyler Page

popsjumper 2 #11 July 5, 2007 We set off fireworks and sang the national anthem. When we got to the part about "...the bombs bursting in air", we had to stop and go put out the brush fire. I love American-made fire extinguishers. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Jewels 0 #13 July 5, 2007 What a beautiful post! I know our nation is not the most popular in the international community right now and it's not about whether I agree or disagree with prevailing politics. Matters can always be improved. My country has given me opportunity and I have been blessed. We have faithful and unwaivering members of the armed forces who serve us diligently and for that I thank them most sincerely. For all her faults, the USA is wonderful country and I don't take it, or those who serve her, lightly.TPM Sister #
ACMESkydiver 0 #14 July 5, 2007 Hooray! Fireworks are awesome, however my hubby and I feel less than stellar right at this moments.... Too much of the JD in sweltering heat whilest watching beautiful displays in our neghborhood...Ugh....we need more ice.
