ACMESkydiver 0 #1 July 13, 2007 Really! We're having one of the worst thunder storms I remember seeing directly over my house...giganormous rain drops beating down, lightning, thunder {{{B O O M}}}ing. I'm a-skeered that I'll get struck by lightning if I open my door. Irrational fear, but a real fear nonetheless... I have to log off and shut this thing down; I don't have a surge protector on my lappie. Mommy. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Reminds me of the old story of a world record big way that completes except for one slot in the base. All of a sudden one lonely figure comes screaming down in a head down swoop, then suddenly 10 feet above the formation he stops, gets belly flat, and settles in the formation to complete it. On the ground afterwards, one guy asks another "was that Guy Manos?" "no, that was Jesus, he just thinks he's Guy Manos!" Lame, I know... Cornholio 0 #9 July 13, 2007 Dammit!! I love a good thunderstorm. WE don't get those over here in sunny California. It might thunder and lightning once a year and it freaks everyone out. Not me, I grab a chair and go sit on the front porch and watch the fireworks. That's one thing I miss about the East coast is the awesome thunderstorms that used to roll in, esp the lake storms off lake Michigan...fun fun!! In fact, the times I went to WFFC, if it didn't produce a good storm while I was there, I felt cheated. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! pinkfairy 0 #10 July 13, 2007 No real thunder here either.I remember Bretagne. That was REAL thunder. BOOOOOM. I love that kind of weather when I know that the house I'm in is unlikely to be hit. Like when there are other, taller objects nearby. Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you? mnealtx 0 #11 July 13, 2007 I love thunderstorms - but not here, because a close strike means that I get to run around in the rain helping the network folks replace switches that got zapped!Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim.
