Phillbo 11 #1 July 14, 2007 smashed your finger so bad that you had to relieve the swelling by burning a hole in your finger nail with a hot paper clip... i did that a few minutes ago, try to avoid it if possible
mnealtx 0 #2 July 14, 2007 My older brother did that when we were kids - caught it between two sections of a heavy, wood garage door. When the Doc did the paperclip thing, blood hit the ceiling due to the pressure... Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

But doesn't it feel better after that blood squirts through the paper clip hole? Makes ya' kinda go "ahhhhhhh." Still not quite orgasmic though.-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. Zenister 0 #5 July 14, 2007 a couple of times... I would occasionally get that kind of 'smash' with 'new' fecing shoes (which are as tight as can be comfortablly managed generally so as not to waste motion) I'd just returned from a fencing tournament and after weeked of fencing when i took my shoes off my big toe was HUGE.. a few hours later it was obvious the nail was going to come off no matter what and something needed to be done to releive the pressure.. so i headed over to the Emergency room to have it done properly and perhaps get it xrayed to make sure it wasnt fractured (had happened before) guess what? no emergency room open...go to a local hospital sit for 8+ hours and file a ton of TRICARE paper work... fuck that... so I went back, grabbed a medic in the barracks and did it ourselves.. Toe nails are ALOT thicker than finger nails, so he's slowly turning the pin applying (rather light) pressure and suddenly it breaks thru, a nice spout of Blood (my toe was about 3x normal size at this point) and a scream of pain from me... a hot skewer to the nailbed REALLY FKN hurts... in fact i think the memory of that still hurts more than that of femuring....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. Zing 2 #7 July 14, 2007 Yep, more than once. After growing up in a family of doctors and nurses, I've also stitched up a few serious cuts, reset dislocated fingers, pulled a couple of my own teeth and reset and casted a broken wrist once. Feels so much better when the pain stops. Never trust someone who "practices" their business.Zing Lurks
