NWFlyer 2 #1 July 17, 2007 No, not on skydiving, not on dropzone.com, but on an individual thread... I was just thinking about this as I clicked on a thread and thought "why on earth do I keep checking this thread?""There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke

antifnsocial 0 #10 July 17, 2007 Hey, when HH actually steps in to decree something, the views of it multiply by around 10X normal. That's when it gets exciting. Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean.

PLFXpert 0 #12 July 17, 2007 I do that all the time. I quit when I'm no longer amused at the ridiculousness, but am saddened by it. Of course, sometimes I'll check back in hopes of once again being amused. If saddened once more, I tend to then move on toward annoyed--this usually happens after my first or mid-way through my second glass of wine. It is during this time I'll post something I later read and get annoyed at myself b/c I could have been MUCH clearer and concise in making my point. I, like you, need to learn to quit after the first .Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
DougH 270 #13 July 17, 2007 When I get the feeling of impending stroke or brain aneurysm, then I quit. The desire to jump threw the screen and strangle some web jumper normally comes first."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
jtval 0 #14 July 17, 2007 Quote I do that all the time. Just wanted to quote this for the sake of the thread. Quote I quit when I'm no longer amused at the ridiculousness, but am saddened by it. EXACTLY. it seems to happen most times in about 5 posts. Quote Of course, sometimes I'll check back in hopes of once again being amused. No point of me quoting this part except to add to the option on the poll. PLFXpert 0 #15 July 17, 2007 I don't really take much too seriously. It's typically only after a drink or two I read something in SC and start rambling to myself and my fingers follow.I played concert classical piano for quite some time. My fingers are used to keeping up with my brain--sometimes quite unfortunately.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Muenkel 0 #20 July 17, 2007 I was surprised to see the number of votes for "When it gets locked." Those are the ones I read first. For me it's when its a repost or the thread already has over a 100 replies. Those I generally cannot be bothered with. _________________________________________ Chris
