JSE 1 #5 July 23, 2007 Not sure what you mean by submit as an invention. If you mean get a patent, then you do have to have more than just a concept, but you do not need a working prototype or anything like that. If you think your idea is marketable and are serious about investing the time and money to get a patent then you will want to hire a patent attorney. I've helped quite a few inventors with patent stuff and can put you in contact with some attorneys i have worked with/for in your area.

Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

bigway 4 #9 July 24, 2007 My great great grandfather invented a soft drink that is now owned by coca cola. There is a big concrete statue of this soda in new zealand, when i was young and we drove past it with my great aunty we had to salute the fuckin thing! I am only pissed off that he gave the drink to his son when he passed on and his son sold it to coke as it would have been my turn to own the soft drink company he owned. I remember when visiting his son back when i was a kid that the guy who owned nestle chocs in NZ was a friend of his and use to make the nestle recipe for us fresh when we visited. Not many people will know the soft drink as it is only sold in New Zealand and in certain places of Australia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L&P .Karnage Krew Gear Store . Twoply 0 #10 July 24, 2007 I invented the "Swiffer" about 4 or five years before it was on the market. Not to say the swiffer's owner didnt patent it earlier thatn that... I used a drywall pole sander and put a wiping cloth on the end to clean my hardwood floors. Never occured to me to patent the idea, but I shake my head at the though of it everytime. Since then I've applied for patents on all ideas I have.

gonzalesna 0 #12 July 24, 2007 i get ideas occasionally... I've learned to stay quiet and let them pass because things like the toddler training shock collar just don't go over really well with the majority of people for some reason Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
