Zep 0 #1 July 25, 2007 Remember the old saying "never go shopping when you're hungry" Well here's a new one "never go shopping whilst bored sick on sick leave" Hobbling round the shop telling the wife, that, that an that. I'm now the proud owner of an 21" Acer monitor, a rice cooker (some thing I've always wanted) a one kilo bread oven that makes a really mean pizza base, 25ft of cupronickel brake pipe, a tool to make double flares on brake pipe a 160amp no gas mig welder, a motorized weed whacker an lastly a compost maker. It's been a good day. Gone fishing

pinkfairy 0 #3 July 25, 2007 Ah, great, I've managed to mostly stay away from the shopping, as I'm in no shape to walk, but have added significantly to my collection of sir David Attenborough films, and bougt some books. All this thanks to the modern miracle of online shopping. I've managed to stay away from the women's Arc'teryx beta gore tex jacket, and matching fleece, because I can't try it on, the iPod because I don't know what to get engraved on it, and all of paragear.com because of norwegian taxes. Sounds like you did some sensible shopping that you won't regret.Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you? pinkfairy 0 #8 July 25, 2007 Quote New toys ....... and a rice cooker The rice cooker cooks rice easily and efficiently. This frees up time that he can use to play with his new toys. And he will also save money by eating mostly rice. Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you? Zep 0 #10 July 25, 2007 I tried the rice cooker this evening, Wow it came out just like the rice from a Chinese take away. One thing I've never been able to cook well is rice, it just never came out loose an fluffy. now it does, An added bonus is it also steams veggies, yum yum.
