Broke 0 #1 July 27, 2007 Anyone notice that a truck that has a huge propane tank on it has a fire extinguisher on them. As if that is going to help if something goes up.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192
CSpenceFLY 1 #2 July 27, 2007 Had a friend once that drove a gas truck. He got hastled by a fire marshal in a small town that found one of the fire extinguishers expired. The guy ask him what he would do if the truck caught on fire. My friend said," Well the extinguiser will probably still work but if that truck catches on fire it's going to burn up with the fucking truck".

monkycndo 0 #4 July 27, 2007 In California, ALL commercially tagged vehicles over a certain weight are required to carry a fire extinguisher and and reflective triangles. The fire extinguisher is not to put out the propane fire. It is to put out a minor engine or brake fire so the fuel tanks don't ignite.50 donations so far. Give it a try. JohnRich 4 #7 July 27, 2007 QuoteBy the time most people determine their engine compartment is on fire it is too late Then for all those other times for the not "most" people, the fire extinguisher would be helpful. You wouldn't want everyone to be helpless like "most", would you?
monkycndo 0 #8 July 27, 2007 QuoteBy the time most people determine their engine compartment is on fire it is too late I have personally put out two engine fires on other peoples cars with the extinguisher in my truck. One was parked in a lot with no one around. Who knows how long it had been smoldering. The second was where the person pulled over after smelling smoke. We put it out before it really took off. I keep a small halon extinguisher in my personal vehicles.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
SeaKev 0 #9 July 27, 2007 QuoteBy the time most people determine their engine compartment is on fire it is too late I'll have to disagree. An extinguisher can put out a significant amount of fire. The extinguishers on board commercial vehicles are deployed successfully more often than people realize.
normiss 898 #10 July 27, 2007 you ozone depleting prepared person you! I saw someone at a gas station once using sand to put out an engine fire...
monkycndo 0 #11 July 27, 2007 What the fuck do you know about putting out fires? I thought you ran a taxi service used by the riffraff so they could pick up their meds. 50 donations so far. SeaKev 0 #12 July 27, 2007 I don't run the service, just employed by it. The kicker is that the "riff raff" and I are paid by the same people. Should we try and move this hijack to SC?
