kallend 2,150 #1 July 28, 2007 WARBIRDS COLLIDE AT EAA AIRVENTURE, ONE KILLED www.avweb.com/eletter/archives/avflash/921-full.html#195757) Two P-51 Mustangs collided on the south end of the north/south runway at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wis., on Friday at 3:17 p.m., killing the sole-occupant pilot of one airplane and injuring the sole occupant of the other craft. The two warbirds were participating in the daily Showcase Flights at EAA when they apparently came into contact with each other and crashed. At press time, the FAA and NTSB were on the scene of the accident and had already begun their investigation.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. diablopilot 2 #2 July 28, 2007 BSBD.It has been reported that while doing a formation landing the lead plane touched down first, which unfortunately is what shouldn't occur. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
