I should have known better than to look at that

Let's see:
thread says "Do-it-yourself surgery"
Walt is the originator
you open it anyway (I guess BillyVance could've been the originator)
even though there aren't any other posts that might give you a hint about the contents
you see an attachment (ooh! Look! something shiny! :P)
you open it

And now you're regretting it????:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

No way I could have done it. :S

My best friend from growing up once had a huge wart on his hand. He took a super sharp knife and just went *swish* and flopped the wart almost clean off. B|

I think I have said this before............I should NEVER open attachments that I do not know what they are! That guy was nasty but I guess he only had to pay for the stitches not the surgery!

Relax. You can always open my attachments and expect only the finest entertainment value that the internet has to offer. BillyVance posts really good stuff too--I can vouch for him.

Hey, I have one of those on my shoulder, and my GF has one just below the ribs. I think I'll practice on hers, before deciding on mine. I'll have a stapler on hand, or some glue.

You might have to tie her down and stuff a sock in her mouth. :P

That was pretty cool. I wonder if he took the lump to have a biopsy done on it.
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

Looks like a lipoma to me. If so, benign.

What's lipoma? A lump of fat or something?

large volumes of hard liquor should be consumed prior to operating on ones self. quick deep cuts hurt less, one quick cut and then super glue it shut.
light travels faster than sound, that's why some people appear to be bright until you hear them speak

Now, when I first read the title and saw who the poster was i thought it was a clip of the guy who tried to make himself into a her in his own kitchen.

This clip was nothing. I am not surprised by what this guy did cause I have seen patients come in doing some fucked up things to themselves to save a few bucks.

My brother closed a wound I had with superglue. It really works as long as you dont have a lot of bleeding. He was a paramedic in the AF and he said he did it to lots of guys... I said 'Of course you did it to lots of guys. If you weren't so gay you would have joined the Army!'... Bada bing...

:$:$:$ Looks like something that I would do if I needed to....except

1. LIDOCAINE (you can get it for vet use lots of places)

2. Betadine.

3. Follow the skin lines and only ONE incision, not the cross that he started out with. The corners where the lines meet now might not have the proper circulation to heal.

4. Tie off the mass before cutting it off, thats where the bleeding was probably the problem. And if you weren't confident that it was a lipoma (ie had several removed already), I would probably send it to pathology to confirm that it was a lipoma (althoug it did look like one.)

5. Where the hell was his cute nurse with the sponge so that when he needed visualization he could see what he was cutting.

QFT...

Now I'm not saying that I've ever done that, but I'm also not saying that I stitched a fraternity bro's leg up with fishing line and a bottle of everclear before either....
