Squeak 17 #1 July 17, 2006 So what's happening with Riggers outside of the USA being able to retro-fit Skyhooks. Apparently some of our riggers are allowed to Retro-fit skyhooks to the Sigma tandems, but they're not allowed to retro-fit them to sport rigs. Come on RWS what's the hold up, sure we can get Senior riggers here in Oz that are more than capable of doing this certified to do so.You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! Squeak 17 #4 July 18, 2006 QuoteThat thread doesn't seem to have anything to do with this question. It doesn't I dont have a non RWS rig I have a Vector3 Micron, with a colins lanyard but not a skyhook, (so to do other jumpers here in Oz) My problem is the rig has to sent to the USA for the skyhook fit. We have riggers here who are allowed to retro-fit Skyhooks to Tandem rigs but not allowed to do it to Sport rigsYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! RogerRamjet 0 #5 July 18, 2006 QuoteThat thread doesn't seem to have anything to do with this question. Not directly I suppose, but it would seem a good first step towards eventually allowing trained riggers to install it. Sorry for any confusion. ----------------------- Roger "Ramjet" Clark FB# 271, SCR 3245, SCS 1519

RIGGER 0 #7 July 18, 2006 Retrofit skyhook is a Major Alteration/Modification which must be done by RWS or a MASTER RIGGER that was trained at the RWS. I'm certify by RWS to retrofit skyhook on both Sigma tandems & Sport Vectors 3. I can tell you that it looks easy but it is not. The work must be accurate so all will match. Sorry, this is not a kind of a work to let all riggers to do. If your Vector 3 Micron have a Collins lanyard: means that the long Yellow cable pass into the RSL lanyard, ask a Rigger who is certified to retrofit a Sigma to contact the RWS with that information. I hope this helps. Safe Rigging !!!

We have the skill levels, and they have been aproved for TandemsYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? koppel 5 #9 July 19, 2006 C'mon Squeak, We Aussies aren't bright enough to do it on the small rigs, only the big ones with the easy grips and the extra handles. On a sports rig you only have two handles so it has to be fitted to the right one. On a Tandem you have lots of handles and as the old addage goes "Keep pulling handles..." therefore it doesnt matter which one they hook it up to it will eventually work.I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.
