2007 So You Think You Can Dance?

Well, I don't dance (in public anyway) but I'm hooked on this year's reality show so far.

A couple of dance pairs are completely amazing this first week. Of particular amazing style is the 2006 winner's sister. Lacey.

Of course the selection is better viewed in HD, but here is the only copy I could find tonight on the 'net. Youtube, of course.

Sara is the daugther of my son's orthpedic surgeon. Nice family, good girl. I had no idea she could dance.
This was a really nice surprise.

In the tv segment just before Lacey and her partner danced, they showed them learning the dance moves. Before they even started, their instructor had them 'get intimate' to learn the feeling of the dance. Lacey remarked it was like 'doing the nasty with your clothes on!'.

It showed, because their communication in the dance sure demonstrated the connection.

This show has something Idol and all those other talent shows dont: very sexy girls dressed in very sexy clothing! (well, except for the hobbo look that some went for! lol)

Sara and Jesus' routine didnt do much for me... It was remining me WAY too much of the Thriller video.

Lacy and Cameron's was something tho. Not groudbreaking in style, but it is a slyle I have always connected with. Somewhat reminescent of Lalala Human Steps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JNOM7p0Bzw&mode=related&search= and Carbonne 14 (if someone with mad google skilz can find a clip of Carbone 14, say from Le Dortoir, that'd be cool, but I cant find any of clips from tehir shows online).

lol.. She's not german. That's Louise Lecavallier, the lead of the troupe back in the 80s and 90s. Both Lalala Human Steps and Carbone 14 are Montreal based.

She doenst have the most feminine body, I'll give you that, but what she can do with it is unreal. Some of the most physically demanding performances I've ever seen.

Did anyone catch tonights episode? Apparently one of the boys claims to be a skydiver. Anyone know or heard of Kameron Bink from Coral Springs, FL?

The picture that they showed of him under canopy seemed seemed like he was a under a pretty big canopy, maybe someone who did a few AFF jumps somewhere?

Can someone post who got set home tonight? Our local channel had a stupid Colt vs Cowboys football game on (completely idiotic considering the fact that I'm in MN).

I hate football (American football to clarify--real futbol on the other hand...).
