It's not particularly profound, but you get out of life what you put in. I have a habit of putting in a bunch, sitting pretty, and getting bored--at which point I spend my time researching the most nugatory things.

Yes. When I play tetris (the original tetris), I get bored and will intentionally screw up so I can have a mess to clean up.

I had said it was a PSA, and I stand by that statement.

The post was, however, brought on by boredom... and I did have second thoughts about the wisdom of posting something quite that provocative on a public website a few hours later...

But obviously I've made my peace with my dumb decision or I wouldn't bring it up.

quite often...

work, play, social life... boredom is my worst enemy, as it brings out the worst in me to remove it at times..

I've quit a couple of jobs because they couldn't keep me 'entertained' even when the pay was good... this one is starting to get that way as well, but my boss has learned the warning signs and keeps me busy on interesting projects...
