Andy_Copland 0 #1 July 10, 2006 Just having a little problem here guys and gals. Im looking to buy a rig and the particular one i have in my sight is a Jav with an A-14 harness. Sunpath says it fits up to 5'3...now heres the problem, im 5'5 - 5'6 (im slim aswell at 135lbs). If the fit was too tight, how hard/expensive would it be to sort the problem? Could a master rigger do it? Or would i just need to flat out buy new leg straps?1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue. First make sure it fits you and second make sure it fits canopies that are suitable for you abilities now not latter. If not it will be a sore spot you will have to deal with as long as you own it.My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
councilman24 37 #5 July 10, 2006 It's not new leg straps. It's either adjusting the main lift web junction, or replace the main part of the harness. Go to sunpath's web site. I believe they have rates there. I'd have the factory do it. While others can it's just as easy to have the people who built it do it. But it will likely be a few hundred dollars and the yolk will still be the wrong size. The simple answer is it doesn't fit you, find something else.I'm old for my age. wmw999 2,588 #6 July 10, 2006 I'm 5'4" and weigh about 135. I have an A14. The shoulders might be too narrow for you (the majority of men have broader shoulders than the majority of women). If the rig has chest and hip rings it shouldn't be too hard to have a master rigger modify it; anything else, and it's best to consider a different rig or send it to the factory. I'm as big a person as I'd want to put into it; my next rig will be a little bigger. The one thing I like about this is that because it's a little small, the chest strap hits me a little low, where I like it. brits17 0 #7 July 10, 2006 My guess is that your biggest problem will be the yoke (too narrow) and main lift web (too short). I think its more reasonable to find a harness that fits well. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
