Muenkel 0 #1 August 14, 2007 Tomorrow, the 14th (right now for those of you across the pond) would have been our very good friend JP's 44th birthday. I always remembered his b'day because he was born exactly 2 weeks before I was, and exactly 1 month before SkyMonkey1. One year, we authored eachother's birthday threads. I miss my friend terribly as I'm sure so many of you do. I'm thinking about and praying for Corinne and the girls right now. I imagine that the 14th is going to be a tough day for them. Anyway, Happy Birthday my friend! This world was a better place with you in it, and your contributions still make it a better place. I pray you're at peace and flying the perfect blue skies while simultaneously looking after Corinne and your 2 beautiful angels. I hope someday I'll see you on the other side. Please look after all of us...we need you. Chris
steve1 5 #2 August 14, 2007 Muenkel, I just put two and two together after reading your post, and realize that Deuce is gone. I just grabbed my August Parachutist and there was Deuce's picture in back. I feel kind of sick. Although I never met him I've talked to him on these forums several times, and read many of his threads. He posted a picture of his daughters a few year back. What a terrible loss. I know he was making a lot of camera jumps. What happened? I've been away from the computer for a couple months....Steve1

Zenister 0 #11 August 14, 2007 I'm still rather shocked. Though we were never close the man was legendary, a rock it seemed. The fact that someone who seemed so solid cracked scares me still... Zenister 0 #17 August 14, 2007 We were never close, but i considered him a friend and an inspiration. The man was truly a living legend with a personality that drew even the 'lurkers' like me out of the shadows and into the party. That someone who appeared so firm, fixed and solid 'cracked' frightens me still, forcing me question many things i thought stable and immutable. Eternal Blue skies Deuce, you are greatly missed.____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

ACMESkydiver 0 #19 August 14, 2007 Happy birthday, JP. I'm glad I got a hug from you. I wish it wasn't so long ago, and I wish it wasn't the last one. aprilcat 0 #20 August 14, 2007 I thought about him today too, for some reason, and went to the BSBD pages and.. ..Yes..he seemed secure like we'd all like our friends to seem. But inside, we're all vunerable and heading for the end. Even the most stoic. Duece..you were a pleasure! Its my Mommy's birthday too and she's been gone for 11 years, but its good to connect good people by birthdays, and not dates of departures and circumstance. NWFlyer 2 #21 August 14, 2007 Although I hate to see a memorial page, I'm glad that I get to see that big goofy grin of yours in every single photo. And it's clearly infectious because everyone in photos with you has the same smile on their face. Miss ya, bud. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
