Amazon 7 #2 August 16, 2007 Tastes in beer are highly subjective... you should buy them and try them all.

Thanks in advance for your opinions. I don't really think of Fat Tire as a northwest beer, as it's made in Colorado. Dead Guy Ale is made by Rogue and quite good. Caution is advised, as a couple friends and I have found ourselves accidental victims of drunkeness while partaking of Dead Guy. It seems to have special abilities in that regard. Other Rogue brews are good too, I especially like the Hazelnut Brown Nectar. Moosedrool is a nice medium bodied beer, lots of malt flavor, not too hoppy, not too sweet. I also like the other offerings from Big Sky. Obviously Lang Ales are well advised, with a nice selection including Skydiver Blonde. Although somewhat mainstream, I like most of the beers from Deschutes, and Widmer's Snow Plow milk stout is pretty unique and very good. If it weren't for the ready access to good beers & wines in eastern Washington, I'd have to move. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" billvon 3,120 #5 August 16, 2007 Fat Tire is colorado. (New Belgium Brewery.) But quite good. It's on tap at the Bomb Shelter now. I don't like Moose Drool. Dead guy is OK. Rouge River has some VERY interesting beers, but they tend to be a bit "extreme" when it comes to things like hops or alcohol content. (take Skull Splitter Ale as an example.) McMenamin's (they're all over) have some really good beers. Try Hammerhead or Ruby. Deschutes is pretty good, although their Mirror Pond Pale has gone downhill in recent years. BTW - the site BeerAdvocate.com is a great source for reviews and commentary on beers around the world.
TrophyHusband 0 #6 August 16, 2007 i've had moose drool and fat tire. they were pretty good on tap, but i didn't like them as well out of a bottle. in utah, they have polygamy porter (why have just one?), but i only had it out of bottle and it wasn't very good. it was bitter and got jealous of my other beers.
