Jewels 0 #26 August 18, 2007 Really? It just made me laugh. I thought the overall tone of the segment was very positive. Skydiving isn't for everyone. I didn't feel like her reaction undid the positive message of the rest of the segment. If that clip caught anyone's interest, I doubt that Meredith's "No!" would undo that.TPM Sister #

SkymonkeyONE 4 #28 August 18, 2007 Those were two really good skydives. The three-point 18-way was my 5000th jump. It didn't suck that it was a free skydive.

We probably could have done another jump, but some of the older people had to take an afternoon nap. The thing that is great about this type of event is this: Someone calls up some locals on Thursday evening. 18 people show up on Saturday. They dirt-dive, and do, a 3-pt 18-way on the first jump. That is cool. I love these people.

If that clip caught anyone's interest, I doubt that Meredith's "No!" would undo that.*** Yea, I agree with Jewels. I saw it and thought Kerry's engergy about it all was great. I loved how he answered David Gregory's question about the feeling/fear of falling, that "you don't get that stomach-in-your-throat feeling like on a roller coaster, you feel like you're floating" . I think there are a lot of people who are interested in making a jump, but can't quite get a handle on how to deal with their fear of it - if they only could, they would. I know I was that way and asked the same questions about rollercoasters to my jumpmaster. I think David Gregory wants to jump - I hope he goes for it! Meredith was just Meredith - she made me laugh. Great job to all involved!! "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort."
