The reason I ask is because I've had my application in with the FAA for two months and was wondering how long it took before you were called for interview. Also wondered if anyone was at a tracon with openings so that I had a clue where I could possibly get hired on at.

Good luck with getting thr FAA to do anything fast....or slow for that matter!:P What kind of experience do you have?

they're all a bit high strung people, that lot.... you sure you want to know them? :D

I used to want to be ATC. Went to U of North Dakota, trained for a semester on their approach/depature simulators, and it kicked my ass. You really need to have your head on your shoulders for that shit.

That's not fair-give them a chance to screw over an employee and blakey will have contrails coming off of her ass to get there[:/]
I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

I'm an enroute radar controller, 23 years at Seattle Center in the Pacific Northwest. Give the personnel folks a call and see if they're interviewing.

The way the FAA is screwing with the new hires' pay structure, I don't know if I'd call it a good job or not anymore.[:/]

It's really an antagonistic attitude towards employees in the FAA anymore (again, as always, of course. . . )[:/]
