Tell the truth... Why did you send/receive flowers last?

I just got flowers delivered to my office from a guy I was seeing that knows he fucked up. He knows he fucked up royally, so flowers aren't going to cut it, but I suppose it was a start.

So guys (or girls)... What was the last (or main) reason you bought flowers for your girl (or guy for Keith)? Was it something you did? Something you were going to do? Something you wanted to do? Just because you loved her? Birthday? Anniversary?

I'd worry if he bought me jewelry... I've only been seeing him for about a month and a half.

And, I'm not that young... I'm at least in my 30's. I think the flowers were a nice gesture, but I'm still not putting out for him.

I sent roses to jumpjunkie2004 to her office on Valentines Day just because it made me feel good to do it. But neither of us are putting out with each other.

The pastor's wife gave me a beautiful arrangement of flowers after the Sunday service a few weeks ago. We're not putting out either.

Does this mean that getting/giving flowers is the cause of not putting out?

Last week I received 2 dozen red roses from Arizona Frayed Knot crw team.

okay... so long story, quazi long... Basically in July, i was going through a rough time since my dad's death anniversary was approaching and stuff. So the morning of the anniversary, I sent a LONG email out on things that reminded me of what my dad used to do. One of the things I wrote was about how when i was a little kid, my dad in the summer used to take a rose from the rose bushes (one of the reasons why roses are my favorite flower), and put it in a vase and put it into my bedroom. When one rose would die, he'd get another one, and put it in my room. They always smelled so beautiful...

So that afternoon, I got a flower delivery. It was a single rose with a message saying that when that rose dies, i can go back to the flower shop and get another rose. So, I'm still getting roses! And they're beautiful and wonderful, and i thought that was probably one of the sweetest gestures and ideas ever!!!

When you are in a relationship for as long as I have been in this one, I am "owed" more then flowers. They just don't cut it any more. BUT, we are talking a "fuck up" here, I still like to get flowers for a "just because" reason.

My husband never gets me flowers for any holiday, anniversary, birthday, any special event EVER. But he does sporadically bring home flowers, every few months, just because he loves me Never anything fancy, just whatever's on sale at the store or is growing in our yard, and I love it.
