I use a knife for the Peanut butter but a spoon for the Jam.

Exactly. And use the back of the spoon to spread the jelly or jam.

I make 2 sandwiches but only have a 2 slice toaster. I think I do the jelly first while the other two pieces are cooking.

You put peanut butter on both pieces of bread with jelly in the middle. The peanut butter prevents the jelly from making the bread soggie. Works especially well if your packing a lunch to eat later.

Editted for clarification.

i concur 100% :)

To prevent soggy bread I was taught to first put butter on both slices. Before the pb or j.

hahah that's great!

while looking at a stupid link to find out what crazy holiday my birthday was i saw in the month of april that April 2 - is national peanut butter and jelly day - how appropriate - we should rehash this thread around then and discuss while eating pb&j's :P

I always but the peanut butter on first and on the bread slice on the left side of the plate.

Lick the remaining peanut butter off the knife. >:(

Put grape JAM on the right side of the plate. Jam spread easier than jelly.

Cut the crust off.

Cut diagonally down the middle.

Enjoy with a nice glass of skim milk.

YUM! :)

I like the smuckers mixed peanut butter and jelly! (in fact I had a pb&j sammich this morning for breakfast!!):)

Isn't thaty called Goober or something like that.

Peanut Butter first on the left bread slice. Wipe the knife off on the right hand side bread slice then spread the jelly. And my PB and J never get soggy

Isn't there anyone here, besides me, that mixes (stirs) the two parts together like in a bowl and then applies it to the bread?[:/]

What does that have to do with anything?
