kenz 0 #26 August 28, 2007 hahah its cool steve - i like brian dancing - for some reason a dog in a banana suit just makes you laugh what would be even more funny is if YOU were doing the peanut butter jelly time dance - come on you know you want to "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
Bolas 5 #27 August 28, 2007 QuoteI use a knife for the Peanut butter but a spoon for the Jam. Exactly. And use the back of the spoon to spread the jelly or jam. I make 2 sandwiches but only have a 2 slice toaster. I think I do the jelly first while the other two pieces are cooking.Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. ltdiver 3 #30 August 29, 2007 Quote Quote You put peanut butter on both pieces of bread with jelly in the middle. The peanut butter prevents the jelly from making the bread soggie. Works especially well if your packing a lunch to eat later. Editted for clarification. i concur 100% To prevent soggy bread I was taught to first put butter on both slices. Before the pb or j. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
kenz 0 #31 August 29, 2007 hahah that's great! while looking at a stupid link to find out what crazy holiday my birthday was i saw in the month of april that April 2 - is national peanut butter and jelly day - how appropriate - we should rehash this thread around then and discuss while eating pb&j's http://library.thinkquest.org/2886/INDEX.HTM "life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
boinky 0 #32 August 29, 2007 I always but the peanut butter on first and on the bread slice on the left side of the plate. Lick the remaining peanut butter off the knife. Put grape JAM on the right side of the plate. Jam spread easier than jelly. Cut the crust off. Cut diagonally down the middle. Enjoy with a nice glass of skim milk. YUM! Muenkel 0 #35 August 29, 2007 I swing both ways on this topic. I could care less which I put on first. But dammit, I will never use the same knife for the pb and j....never! _________________________________________ Chris
turtlespeed 226 #36 August 29, 2007 Isn't there anyone here, besides me, that mixes (stirs) the two parts together like in a bowl and then applies it to the bread? I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
