skymama 37 #28 August 29, 2007 Quote at 17 you are basically an adult with adult thought processes. you should be able to from a coherent sentence. my 4 year old niece can string words together more eloquently as that beauty pagent contestant did. You obviously haven't spent much time around teenagers. Even though the government says they are an adult at 18, their brains are not. She was in front of an arena full of people, on live tv and had the pressure of wanting to win something she had been practicing for, for months or even years. Give the girl a break. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

chykynlyps 0 #30 August 29, 2007 seriously, how difficult is it for smoeone of any age to stop, take a deep breath, collect their thoughts, and then continue. everyone is taught this from a very young age. furthermore, this girl was in this "contest" because she obviously won some other "contest" in which i am sure similar questions were asked. she had to have at some point done some sort of preparation for the q & a portion or she is a lot less intelligent than i previously thought. this future playmate obviously got frazzled, but she didnt have the wits about her to get un-frazzled and get it done. hence, she is a little bit dim.Bear Down Chicago Bears! karenmeal 0 #32 August 29, 2007 I feel bad for her watching that! I think it was a stage fright thing. I've had plenty of experience with stage fright turning my brain to mush. When I used to work as a cashier in retail I would get so nervous having people watch me do basic math when making change. I always wanted to tell them, listen, I'm great at math, I have aced every math class in my entire life and I can do this stuff no problem--- as long as an impatient stranger isn't watching me! Stumpy - what do you have to say about this? Not a lot - i thought it was kind of a funny video. If she chooses to put herself in that situation then really thats her lookout. As for the comment you quoted - well i wouldnt necessarily have put it that way.Never try to eat more than you can lift

I'm told you look pretty Take a look at her avatar - she has to wear a mask over her face! Yup!!! - But back on topic. Although I feel sorry for her for that unfortunate answer, I do realize that 1. She chose to be there. Actively competed and desired to place herself in that position. She could have better prepared for that section of the competition. If its lack of knowledge, she should have been better read. If its stage fright, she she should have known to take a deep breath and compose herself. 2. It would show more dignity for her to just accept that she did say that and not keep trying to excuse and pardon.... But... it gets her more attention to keep digging it up
