New Age/Witchcraft symbols....help!

The background is a long story but the short version is there are a couple of us renting rooms in a house. The landlord is in Hawaii and has been ignoring our requests for certain repairs till he gets in town. Well he is in town now and is staying at the house as we have a empty room. He and a his friend (freaky looking girl with about 50 facial piercings) comes by this afternoon to meet us before he settles in here for two weeks. After they left we found these drawings hidden behind two pictures on the wall. His friend had been sneaking around hiding them before they left. So what the hell do these mean????!!!! And why the hell did they have to sneak around to do it???!!!!

they look like words to me
the first one at the top says "sue" then it looks like "jane b?" i think?
the last two in the firstone i cant make out

the second picture says what looks like to me "is poem"

i dont know if its witchcraft as much as weird letters - not sure why they would do that - but thats just my guess

I'm thinking it's something to do with new age stuff since he's an acupuncturist and into alternative healing stuff. Plus the way he decorates his house.

No, I don't know what it is that's why I mentioned both. It's what popped into my mind. But I AM a little freaked out that someone had to sneak around our house and hide it. No matter what it means. Wouldn't you be?

Here's a crazy thought. Why don't you tell him you found them and ASK him what they mean. Maybe it's something very innocent like she decided to do up a little artwork to leave you as a gift for putting them up for a few weeks. Maybe you'll learn something new.

I wouldn't have even thought twice about it except for the fact that they had to HIDE it. My other roommate saw the friend snooping around our living room and looking behind the pictures while she was in the living room by herself. We found them after they left.

The whole thing freaks me out because they were deliberately hidden. Why didn't they just hang them up on the wall? Are they too ashamed of it to let us know and just hang them? If they are ashamed of it, it makes me wonder what else he is hiding.

That's good that you're going to ask him about it as I think that will put your mind at ease. You strike me as being a very logical person which is probably why this is freaking you out. There's no logic to it. Personally, I think you're reading WAY too much into it.

So she's a freaky girl with a tackle box face. I knew a girl like that once. She turned out to be pretty cool. "Don't judge a book.." comes to mind.

Keep an open mind and I hope it turns out to be nothing.

And promise that you'll let us know what he says. This is rather interesting. I'm curious as to what the symbols mean myself!

Not exactly. The lease holders have a leasehold estate on the property; therefore, the landlord (and his unique friends) don't have carte blanche to treat the house as "his property."

I was simply stating my opinion that I feel it's still technically his house. Certainly she doesn't "own" it, or she wouldn't be paying him rent

You seem to forget the fact the he doesn't live here(after these two weeks). Therefore it is our business. If you rented out a place you owned to someone would you still feel you had the right to decorate it?

I can't say for certain, but probably I would feel like if I wanted to place my signature or some piece of art on some normally unseen part of the house . . . yeah . . . I could probably do that.

It's just ink in a normally unseen spot. I don't think it's anything worth losing sleep over.

Fortunately for Tetra316, you're not an Oregon state judge, so what you feel is irrelevant. What IS relevant is the state's rental code/property management code, which exists to prevent and/or provide solutions to such problems.
