Zep 0 #4 September 3, 2007 I'll be out this season, we need to cull each year as they can do a lot of damage an become a menace to drivers, Every deer we cull is used, be it for dog feed or our consumption, preferred method is very early morning using a crossbow with an oak lathe turned bolt, no tip an a inch deep cross cut into the end, Ill shoot from 25-30yards aiming for the neck aorta, an only shooting at a clean kill. If I see them on my land during the day I'll use a Spanish Mauser 308 Remember, the only good kill is a clean kill. (I think I'll use that as a sig line) Gone fishing
JohnRich 4 #5 September 3, 2007 QuoteIf I see them on my land during the day I'll use a Spanish Mauser 308 Huh? Has that mauser been re-barreled for .308? I didn't think the Spaniards made their guns in .308 - they usually are 8 mm.

Zep 0 #7 September 3, 2007 It's a re chambered 1916, an I think you'll find old Spanish mausers were 7mm Gone fishing

I and my trusty old 1917 Winchester 30.06 will most definitely be out this season."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." sundevil777 102 #10 September 4, 2007 Cull? I'd rather use the term KILL! I don't care at all if you get a clean kill, please just kill as many as you can. Leave them where they fall if you've already got your quota, but please, kill as many as you can, don't pass up any opportunity. Quotea menace to drivers That is why I would like them to be exterminated anywhere near roads, which pretty much means everywhere in Ohio, and many other parts of the country. Of course they won't be exterminated, but a LOT more should be KILLED.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
JustChuteMeNow 0 #11 September 4, 2007 Deer hunting is something I do every year with my Dad. He is 84 and still muzzle loading. We hunt in Iowa and we have some good corn fed deer.Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.
