Have you ever written your name in the lawn with the mower? I caught my son doing that yesterday. He had a big, sheepish grin on his face after he explained why I kept hearing the mower go on and off. Of course, he had to take a picture of his accomplishment!

I thought that was strange until I told the story to my dad this morning and he said he did it when he was a kid too! So fess up, have you done it or something even more goofy with the mower?

reminds me of going to one of my kids HS football playoff games...the opposing team had burned the word "FUCK" in the middle of the field...all attempts to camoflauge it were futile.

I have not done anything weird to the grass. I think I once tried to write bitch in a girls yard with gasoline. Gas will kill grass super fast. It didn't exactly come out, the bitch part, but the grass died.

Had one of those 'low rider' dogs that was a near belly scraper on pavement.
She didn't like running through grass unless it was really cut short, so I would cut a path of loop and turns through the yard and leave 'em a few days...doggie followed 'em like a freeway!

My ex wrote my name in the snow, and even dotted the "i." I was impressed... And we did take pictures. We don't get snow in Austin that often, so my name in the snow was a nice gesture while we were vacationing. Almsot better than a single stemmed rose.

Name (cursive with a weedeater), Spirals, Chess board, Marne Patch (in the Army at Ft Stewart on the PT field... also the last time I mowed anything in the military after I asked the 1st Sgt for my 'high school wages' for time spent..they started hiring local teenagers instead from the company 'bbq funds') Even tried an Indian head after I saw a special on a guy doing that in a wheat field (didnt plan it well enough could do MUCH better now were i so inclined... and had a yard)

Our yard was the one the neighbors complained about continually to the Base Housing Authority.. but it was ALWAYS within the regulations I had ready at hand to defend my creations...
