billeisele 130 #1 September 21, 2007 Is this the new Skyride? found the number on Yahoo while looking for something else, so called the local number and.... she was polite and quite the salesperson, so after the small talk and general BS this is what happened - let me check to find the location nearest to you, OK, it is Walterboro, 73 miles away - the total cost is $213.15, that includes training, equipment, the jump, packing fee and fuel surcharge - (me) $213.15 hmmm, why does their website say $185? - well our base cost is $179, the other items make it $213.15, i guarantee you that $185 is not the total cost they just don't mention the surcharges - what kind of plane do they use? how high do they go? - all jumps are made between 10K - 14K - why the difference? - it depends, let me check, OK, they use a Cessna 182 and go to 10.5 - i live north of Columbia, isn't there a place near Charlotte? that would be closer - yes but they are not a member (was glad to hear that answer, my home DZ) - you must not be in Columbia, where are you? - in Atlanta, we are central reservations, we have locations nationwide - the total cost is $213.15 and you make all the arrangements? - yes - well i still don't see why their website says $185, i'll check with them and possibly get back to you - well, you can try, call us back after you get the real informationGive one city to the thugs so they can all live together. PhreeZone 20 #2 September 21, 2007 Yep, Skyride has local phone numbers and even drop boxes for a lot of their fake websites. I went to visit one of their addresses and it tracked down to a dropbox near a local college. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
