ACMESkydiver 0 #1 September 24, 2007 Ok we are definitely not going for quality, here...just a mattress that we can throw this memory foam topper we bought onto and throw it on a cheap platform bedframe. Joe swears he can find something for $100. He was trying to tell me that they have commercials all the time, I tried to explain that it's $100 each piece when you buy the whole set, but Mr. P. can be a bit hard-headed... We've tried Ikea...tried Walmart...Tried Target...Mattress Depot...Sleep Country (worst prices any where, I have no idea how they stay in business ), I found bedzine.com that has a mattress for $159, but Joe wants to spend $100 because it's only temporary. (Oh and it's gotta be new. Used is too creepy. ) I think he's smoking crack and it can't be done. Anyone have any other ideas?~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Some places will sell mattresses that were used by hotels and then recovered. Quote These refurbished mattresses are often sold very cheaply, for around a hundred dollars or so. Don’t bother with these no-named mattresses, even if you are on a budget, they’ve been slept on before. AggieDave 6 #4 September 24, 2007 Here's one for $60! http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3866336--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
ACMESkydiver 0 #5 September 24, 2007 Quote Here's one for $60! http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3866336 I'd go for it Dave, but Joe and I have NEVER had any luck at all with air beds/mattresses in our 13 years of marriage. EVERY single time we wake up on the floor....I don't know how we pop them when we're sleeping. We must haev some crazy sharp toenails or something, because even when we were both in the army and failry light weight, it just never worked out. But thank you very much for the idea! Y'know, as long as they have a 90 day guarantee, who knows...maybe we'll give it a shot??~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. ryoder 1,590 #6 September 24, 2007 Go to the local sporting goods store, head into the camping section, and get an queen-size inflatable mattress."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. AggieDave 6 #7 September 24, 2007 Well, I was being a smartass, but I knew more then a few people while I was in college that slept on an airmatress for more then a couple of years.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jtval 0 #8 September 24, 2007 Shit. as along as you keep your reciept wal mart will take it back. I use one of those for camping. they are WAY sturdier then you'd think. When one of my friends was going through marital problems I let him use it and my spare room for a month. It STILL has not deflated. He left a month ago. I decided to leave it inflated to test it for eloy. that thing is doing great. My photos My Videos

I started sleeping on one in college, graduated in '91, and I still sleep on one. I like them! The one I have now sits on a nice oak platform bed frame."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
