murrays 0 #1 September 25, 2007 Amazon.com has just activated its MP3 Downloads store. No DRM, 256 kbs bit rate in MP3 format so downloads will play on any players, great pricing - as in better than iTunes! Article by John Gruber on the store. (John is a Mac/Apple blogger so his article refers to OS X but rest assured, the store works on Windows as well) Much as I love Apple and iPods, it's great to see iTunes getting some competition from a company that "gets it". 2,000,000 songs available to start. Unfortunately, I can't use it as it is for US Residents only at the present time.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
