Remster 30 #1 September 27, 2007 Hey all, can someone tell me if you can clean up the data collected by a garmin? I've tried the export tool from the Training Center, but it doesnt output anything usefull. I'm using a Edge 305 with the Training Center software. Altenatively, do you know of good garmin forums?Remster

livendive 8 #5 September 28, 2007 Only a smelly French-Canadian-Quebecois would have to come here for advice on cleaning up. I suggest you start with relatively straight-forward things like your underarms and ass before moving on to more complicated things like gps data. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Left Hand, Garmin. Right Hand, Hammer. Bring together. Cleaned. Seriously, what are you asking? The raw data from all GPS units need to be interpreted by external software. Is that the "training" thing, or do you have a stand alone mapping software that can interpret data? It's your life, live it! Damn. I have a 305, but I've never collected any dirty data. I must be doing something wrong.Seriously, I'd ask "vidiot". His Paralog interfaces with Garmin GPS units, so he has experience with it."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. That's what I was thinking, but didn't want to come out and say it... Paralog is perfect for what we usually use GPS for, but I wasn't sure if that's what Remi was using it for... billvon 3,107 #9 September 28, 2007 Why don't you like the data? Isn't it straight NMEA sentences?
Remster 30 #10 September 28, 2007 At this point, I'm just using straight transfers from the EDGE to the PC using Garmin's SW (called Training Center). It saves the history in its own format I think (.tcx I think). You can export in xml format.Remster
