Tink1717 2 #2 June 11, 2006 Other than the system being highly sensitive to closing look length, they are good units.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... Forgive my ignorance, what do you mean - 'wrong reserve handle'? Do you mean that it was a non-Wings reserve handle (in which case it would have nothing to do with the company, just the jumper) I don't know how else it could be a 'wrong' handle. As for the handle that was completely out of shape, surely the amount of force that would be needed to mis-shape a steel reserve handle would be enough to damage other parts of the rig too? Just want to understand what you are saying here. *************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. Dude, you need to give us more details! ALL the stuff you said sounds very un-real given the outstanding Sunrise CS has. Are you sure those units have original components?Memento Audere Semper
irishrigger 32 #5 June 12, 2006 sorry, for not giving more info.i came across 3 rigs that had wrong lenght of reserve cable in them.one was 4 inch to long, the other 2inches to short.yes they were all origonal components from wings. as to the reserve pin getting bend out of shape i am completly baffeld by this.the pin was seated and sitting correctly yet it managed to bend like that,i will try to upload a pic of it now. I've seen containers in the field with other manufacturers components in them. I always offer free replacements for these items. As long as riggers like yourself are conscientous enough to bring it to our attention, we can fix it ASAP with little or no inconvenience to the jumpers.
