Because it would put more money in Steinbrenner's pocket? Personally, I'd like see the Yankees go 0-fer every year.

On the plus side, Steinbrenner has said Torre won't be invited back if the Yankees don't get to the ALCS. I'd like to see Joe go work for an owner who treats him with the respect he's earned.
