I have always admired Katsushika Hokusai's woodcuts, especially his now-famous The Wave (below.) It always seemed to me to be an extremely stylized version of a wave, sort of an artistic extrapolation of a normal wave.

But then I saw the second picture on a CNN website. Maybe he really did see a wave like that . . .

I did a search on Hokusai because I wanted to see more of his art, and I ended up on this page (NSFW), at which point Rich walked in and asked what I was doing... So now he's giving me a hard time about looking up pornography first thing Monday morning.

Not at the moment. He had to go to work, and I had to stop looking at tentacle erotica and start doing some homework. I tried to explain why I was looking at that, but after mentioning that it was something that Bill had posted, I'm sure he's thinking that it's just more of Bill trying to corrupt my innocent little mind.
