bwilling 0 #4 October 9, 2007 QuoteMillerSAB and Molson Coors had $445 million in combined advertising expenditures last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Miller accounted for $245 million of that number. That's a lot money spent to convince people that would never drink real beer, that their product IS beer, and that they should drink it. To their defense, it's really technically challenging to brew a beer that light, with that little flavor! Don't care for it myself... I've joined the revolution! Beer 0 #5 October 11, 2007 Rouge along with most west coast beers are over rated. I'm all for hop flavor, aroma, and bitterness, but there needs to be ballance. What's so great about a beer that has so much hops that you can feel the hop oils coat your tounge and strip it of the ability to taste anything for a good half hour? Good on you though for getting into craft beer. That swill is a poor excuse for beer, more rice and corn than barley. It's so difficult getting people to open mindedly try new beers or darker beers based off of the largely available commercial stuff. People are convinced anything with color is going to be heavy and harshly bitter (ie old stale Ginnuess) Learn to be happy. You can't be there for anybody else in life if you can't learn to be there for yourself.
