Since you and Brian are out of commission and need something to do, you can meet me in Petaluma sometime at this place. Check out the reviews from ChefMoz - better than Zachary's in Berkeley and on par with a neighborhood Pizza joint in Chi-town per an original Chicagoan. My personal favorite. It isn't cheap though. Grips 0 #9 October 15, 2007 All I ate when I was in New York was pizza. Had to take advantage. I want to go try Chicago's Pizza and see who is best.
ImGunnaJump 0 #10 October 15, 2007 If you like deep-dish, I HIGHLY recommend Edwardo's. It's the best deep-dish, but I recommend getting extra sauce with it...with a deep dish you can get into a lot of left-over crust to eat. With the extra sauce you can scoop it up with the crust - yummmm! I always get the spinach, mushroom, and Canadian bacon with extra sauce - fantastic!"...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." skymedic 0 #12 October 15, 2007 I personally like Lou Malnattis first...then Gino's..then giordano's...then Uno's at the bottom. Funny thing is here in St.louis really the only place I can get a decent deep dish is at our local franchise Uno's. It's ok and does help me feel like I'm home again. But only sorta. warpedskydiver 0 #14 October 15, 2007 Lou's is up at the top of my list along with a place or two most people never heard of. Hey John and I just agreed on something, next thing you know Cats and Dogs will be living together by choice!
marcandalysse 0 #15 October 15, 2007 Lou's is good. Haven't lived in Chicago for awhile but.... Not sure if Eduardo's is still around, but their stuffed pizza was my favorite, similarly there was Nancy's stuffed pizzas. I find those Uno type pizzas way too bready and greasy -they put alot of oil in them. You know, Chicago thin crust is cut in squares, not triangle slices like in NYC?
