AIDS Walk Los Angeles - Skydiver team?

Recommended Posts

Hey Mark - I have an idea...

Take Lisa's cow avatar (your creation)... Take the cow off and put a ribbon where the cow is... Then, draw a small ribbon on each end of the canopy. In the middle of the canopy, write "SKYDIVER," then the second line, write "AIDS WALK 2007." You can stick Los Angeles in there somewhere for those people coming in from out of state...

No, I haven't been drinking. I think it looked good when I drew it out on paper. :|

I was just going to wear a SD Elsinore tee or tank. Are we all getting matching t-shirts? Hmmm...whatever you guys/girls want to wear is fine with me.

Edited: Fyi, this AIDS Walk is the weekend (Sunday) after the Chick's Rock Boogie, in case anyone wants to extend their stay in sunny California. You could stay from one weekend to the next! :)

If anyone has an idea for a team shirt, please post it.
Here's a little something with ribbons.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks:)

maybe something similar to the JFTC logo? A red ribbon behind a skydiver under canopy?

Here is one design Mark came up with.

Here is sharimcm's idea. I like it, but take the ribbons off of the sides of the canopy. :)

I like this one.... maybe take out the team number and put AWLA 2007 on the top, and a skydiver under canopy in the middle?

That would be perfect. :)

Ok, I know that I said that I would wear what everyone picks, but I think because I used to do this (design clothing...and beautiful screened tees were a specialty of mine) I have to say to please pick out more than one color. All-red bothers me. I know that it's cheaper to make, but if we get up to approx. five colors on one screened tee, the cost is about the same.

Pop out the ribbon in RED, and change the AWLA font to black. I could say more, but I have to leave now for a morning meeting with my teammates (presentation). Have fun!

Edited: I think the round chute is more hamonious. Take off the ribbons on the side, keep the Skydivers 6837 in the middle, and under the red ribbon, place AIDS Walk L.A. 2007 in black in a curve (going up on the ends) to mimic the round shape at the top of the chute.

I think you are right about color.
I don't do screenprint. What I do is DTG, Direct To Garment printing. We can add all kinds of color without affecting ink cost. It's the same whether it is one color or 16 million. I also, don't use screens. The machine is set up to run an Epson 2200 inkjet print head. No mixing, no squeegeeing. I load, print and heat set.
Keep the ideas coming:)

It would be easier for me to just order shirts. I normaly use three different styles. Womens short sleeve t-shirt and tank are Fruit of the Loom for Her. Mens are Jerzees brand t-shirts. Just send me your shirt size/style and I will order when the time comes. White shirts print best.

I put a jumper in front of the ribbon. I put the jumper low so not to look like the JFTC logo.

The actual design can be resized up to 11.5w x 16.5L
Bear in mind that the pics are .jpg's and are not quite as brillant in color as the .psd files that I print from.

I tried this large ribbon with small ribbons around it. Didn't look right. 4 way ribbon formation also didn't look rights.
It does look alright on it's own with font. Printed size would be much larger.

Hello team!
I'm back home, and I like Mark's SECOND TO LAST one the best so far, although I am unsure about the rainbow colors. I have to get back to my work, but I thought I'd contribute a very rough (ugh) Photoshop sketch using some of Mark's previous elements.

Btw, I can draw beautifully by hand, but I am NOT a graphic artist! (Those are graphic department jobs.) Someone will need to clean this up (or resketch) if you like the concept.

I prefer for us to not have the focus on the actual skydiver, since this walk is not about us. Imho, we can still represent ourselves by including just a parachute and a big ribbbon. Just a thought...

EDITED: Our last ones are similar! :D Did you go by what I had written in one of my earlier posts?
