Twoply 0 #1 October 18, 2007 A few of my friends fly out to Vegas every weekend to work the scene. They bring home enough cash to fund their individual lifestyles. At a recent party, we were talking about what is fair for them to write off. I suggested they write off their airfare costs. It became a lively conversation that night. So I ask, should a legal prostitute be able to write off airfare?

She should also be able to write off condoms and advertising costs and anything any other sole proprietor would be allowed to deduct. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" ExAFO 0 #4 October 18, 2007 Would douche be another deduction? What about the high colonic machine--is that deductible under IRC 162 or to be capitalized/amortized under IRC 263?Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.

But that makes me think...I've only been deducting a percentage of the interest I pay on my truck loan. Given that my business miles comprise >50% of my total miles, shouldn't a portion of my auto insurance also be tax deductible? Sweet! Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" JohnMitchell 16 #6 October 18, 2007 I take the straight mileage deduction for tax write offs. All of our vehicles are paid for and get fairly good mileage. I think it's 48 cents a mile this year. My accountant knows for sure.
